A new colleague strengthens the work of the Joint Secretariat of Interreg VI-A IPA Hungary- Serbia
From the beginning of February 2026 the VI-A IPA Hungary-Serbia JS have a new team member, as Federica Attianese joined as an IVY Reporter for six months, contributing to share the progress and outcomes of the projects, aimed at fostering and encouraging the harmonious cross-border development of the region.
Her academic, professional and personal background is what led her to pursue this experience. She has a Master’s degree in Global Studies & EU, and she developed communication, advocacy and policy-related skills through her previous work and engagement at both NGO and Intergovernmental levels.
She shared her first thoughts with us: “On a personal level, I would define myself as a genuinely curious person who loves discovering new cultures. For these reasons, I felt the IVY experience aligned perfectly with both my skills and values.
Regarding the specific choice of the IPA Hungary-Serbia programme, I was particularly drawn to a programme-based experience in order to gain a deeper understand of the implementation of a programme under the instrument for pre-accession assistance, as well as the specificities and challenges linked to its context.
Through this experience, I expect to learn more about Cohesion Policy and cross-border cooperation, to contribute and support initiatives that have a tangible impact on local communities, ensuring that their benefits reach as many people as possible.”
