The Monitoring Committee is the decision-making body, which supervises and monitors the Programme implementation.

 

RESULTS OF THE 2014-2020 PROGRAMMING PERIOD

In the 2014-2020 programming period, a total number of 258 projects received support in the framework of the Interreg Europe programme. A detailed description of the implemented projects can be found on the programme website: https://www.interregeurope.eu/search-approved-projects

80 Hungarian partner organisations participated in the implementation of the winner projects. This meant a total amount of almost 12 million euros ERDF support, complemented by more than 1.5 million euros of national co-financing.  

INFORMATION ON THE 2021-2027 PROGRAMMING PERIOD

The programme area has changed following the BREXIT 27 Member States, as well as Norway and Switzerland participate in the new programme.

In the budget of the new programme, 351 million euros of ERDF funding is available for applicants.

Priorities: 

The programme is structured around one single cross-cutting priority, the Interreg-specific objective ‘a better cooperation governance’. This means that beneficiaries can cooperate on any topics of shared relevance in line with their regional needs, as long as this falls within the scope of cohesion policy.

The programme also recognises the need to concentrate resources on those policy areas that are most relevant and urgent for regions in Europe.
